Would a compact shoe cabinet or a wall-mounted shoe rack work better in a narrow rental entryway?

I’m weighing ways to keep shoes from spilling into the walkway, but floor space is tight and I’d rather avoid drilling holes. A cabinet seems tidier, while a rack may be easier to fit. Keeping the floor clear seems especially helpful in a small entryway—which would you choose?
