Should I?

ABOUT SHOULD I?

A second opinion for everyday decisions

Should I? is a community where you can put a decision into words, hear other people’s reasons, and decide for yourself. It is built for everyday choices about work, money, home, travel, shopping, and life.

How it works

  1. Ask a clear question

Describe the decision, add context, choose a voting window, and optionally attach images. You can post anonymously; signing in lets you manage the question later. A moderator reviews questions before they appear publicly.

  2. Hear different perspectives

Anyone can vote yes or no and optionally explain why. Votes from the community are opinions, not instructions.

  3. Make your own call

After you vote, you can see the community split and visible reasons. Use each perspective as one input, then make the decision that fits your situation.

Common questions

Is Should I? a decision-making tool?

It is a place to collect viewpoints before you decide. The site does not make a decision for you.

Do I need an account?

No. Guests can publish anonymously and vote without signing in. Signing in lets you manage your questions across devices, and signed-in members can still choose to hide their name.

Are questions public?

Approved questions, their images, and author display names appear in the public plaza. Questions awaiting review are visible only to their author and moderators.

What does a vote mean?

A vote is one person’s yes or no perspective. Where a voter adds a reason, you can read it after voting. The result is not professional advice.

Does the community decide for me?

No. Votes and reasons can help you consider the choice, but the final decision is always yours.
